Who am I?

Mon histoire

Many travels have given me the desire to share everything: from great experience to exceptional quality, I want to give a big shout out to people and businesses who are doing something special. I share stories of men and women passionate about what they do, whether they are perpetuating great traditions from the past or innovating.

The name, Safran (farsi زعفران) & Shiro (白, in japanese or ሽሮ, in amharic), comes from my travelling bug, and my taste for world cuisine. No need to talk about the Iranian red gold - Saffron - also the name of my loyal four-legged assistant. Shiro means white in Japanese, and it is usually known because of shiro miso.  It's also a chickpea stew, shiro wot in Ethiopia.

On this website you will find my portfolio of original paintings and drawings, as well as some prints, always signed and numbered (and in limited editions) : watercolours, acrylic paintings, drawings, mixed media creations, paintings with coffee, tea and herbal dies, anything that inspires me, really.
